A Poem: Sun and Moon

Sun and Moon

 The sun glows bright,
Shining like gold,
Emanating light,
So Earth’s not cold,

It stays in the sky the whole day,
Giving us light so we can see,
But in the sky, it doesn’t stay,
When the stars come out it stays away,

The moon gleams, its light, a potion,
Shining like silver,
Guiding turtles to the ocean,
Pushing, pulling the tides, but untouched is the river,

As the moon rises,
And the sun declines,
The moon asks the sun,
“Can you take the night shift this time?”
